The Leading Francophone Comedian of his Generation

Louis-José Houde is one of the most successful Francophone performers today in the world of stand-up comedy. His first show drew huge crowds, and his second show, Suivre la parade, was presented over 400 times in less than three years, including five sold-out performances at the Bell Center in Montreal. For his third show, Les heures verticales, Mr. Houde won the Olivier Comedy Award for Most Popular Show both in 2014 and 2015, as well as the Félix award for Show of the Year in Comedy in 2013. Louis-José Houde is a versatile and talented artist, known for his perfect timing, charisma and the art of the metaphor, which have earned him a place as the top selling Canadian Francophone comedian. Add to his credits, he is the youngest artist to have surpassed the 1 million mark in ticket sales from these three shows. He has made memorable appearances in movies such as De père en flic (Father and Guns) and Le sens de l’humour (A Sense of Humour). He has hosted the Juste pour rire Galas and for the past eleven years, has hosted the Gala de l’ADISQ.
Montreal-based Comedian Louis-José Houde is the top stand-up comedian coming out of Quebec today! His visit to Toronto is an important chance to build his fan base here in light of both the size and growth of French speakers in the GTA. He will be showcasing new material providing even more reason to take in the event.
